Most people who come to see me have been carrying something for a long time. Sometimes they can name it and sometimes they can't.

You might be in a relationship that looks fine from the outside but doesn't feel right anymore. Or you're at a point in your life where the old ways of doing things have stopped working. You might be a creative person who's wondering if you have to choose between making art and making a living. You might be queer and building a life without a template. Or you might just know something needs to change and you're tired of thinking about it alone.

What brings people here:

I'm a psychodynamic therapist. That means I believe the relationship between us is where most of the work happens. I use tools and techniques when they're useful, but the point is paying close attention to what's going on.

In our work together, we'll look at the patterns that keep showing up in your life. Sometimes those patterns started a long time ago and sometimes they're new. Either way, they're here for a reason. My job is to help you see what you've been too close to see clearly.

I'm direct. I'll tell you what I notice. Therapy with me isn't always comfortable, but it shouldn't feel like a performance. It should feel like a real conversation with someone who can keep up.

How I work:

I see adults across New York, DC, and Florida virtually. I work with individuals and couples.

Sessions are 45 minutes for individuals, 60 minutes for couples, weekly or biweekly.

My rate is $225 per session for individuals and $275 per session for couples. I'm out of network with insurance but can provide superbills for reimbursement.

Practical information:

I have a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College and postgraduate training from the University of Pennsylvania and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. I'm trained in the Gottman Method and Imago Relationship Therapy.

Before I became a therapist, I was a performing musician and classical pianist.
